| Ministries of Parish Life |
A little different from the typical 'coffee and donuts' experience, our Discipleship Café will be a place to gather after the weekend Masses, meet other parishioners, welcome new parishioners, and truly build our sense of family and community in St. Anthony Parish.
We need ministry leaders who will head up a team of ministers who will sell prepackaged breakfast items and serve coffee, tea, and cold beverages. No cooking or fundraising involved.
If you like to meet and greet others, if you have the knack for hospitality and the desire to welcome others to make them feel part of our family, this is the ministry for you!
All parishioners are invited each year on Holy Saturday at 11:00am to bring a basket of food that they will be eating for their Easter Celebration meal, to the Faith Development Center for a special blessing. Dating back to traditions of our Eastern European anscestors, this practice illustrates through the types of food presented for blessing, our reflection on the suffering, death and resurrection of Christ, and on our gratitude. Baskets are usually lined with a white linen cloth representing the shroud of Christ.
The ministry leader for this ministry is responsible once a year for setting up the Food Blessing area in our Faith Development Center, ensuring that tables are nicely presented with cloths and plants to decorate, and for clearing up once the food blessing has taken place.
St. Anthony Parish has a vibrant Knights of Columbus Council that meets on the fourth Monday of each month.
If you are interested in becoming a Knight and participating in the works of charity and service with our Knights of Columbus Council, please contact the parish office on 863-858-8047 and we will put you in touch with the current Grand Knight, Dan Marino.

|Saint Anthony Council of Catholic Women |
Saint Anthony Council of Catholic Women is a group of ladies from 18 and up, who provide service and spiritual support to our Parish and the extended community. We have monthly business meetings, which also provide time for refreshments and socializing. Throughout the year we hold funraisers and we sponsor the annual Dove Tree collection during Advent when we collect items for families and the elderly. We help with funeral and parish event receptions. We also have an annual Day of Recollection which is a day retreat. The SAWC can offer our parish ladies a way to get to know each other and practice good stewardship.
If you are interested in becoming a member of Saint Anthony Council of Catholic Women, please contact the parish office on 863-858-8047 and we will put you in touch with our current Council of Catholic Women President, Debbie Wright.
St. Anthony Thrift Shop is located on the far west side of our parish grounds, behind the rectory. It is known on the North side of Lakeland as one of the best places in town to obtain good quality, inexpensive, new and used merchandise. The community donates all items. The Thrift Shop is an extended ministry to the needy, as they donate clothing and household articles to those in need. We are grateful to the numerous volunteers who staff the Thrift Shop.

The Gift Shop is a place where you can learn about and enhance your faith. It offers an array of religious articles (icons, crucifixes, statues) and books at reasonable prices. We need a team of parishioners to stock, select merchandise to sell, help customers, operate the cash register, and make store displays.
