We invite you to a Lenten Soup Supper immediately following the 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm Masses on Ash Wednesday.
Lent is a time of Fasting, Almsgiving, Prayer and Repentance. By gathering for this Soup Supper, we have the opportunity to connect with each other and share the beginning of our Lenten Journey. By having a simple meal instead of something more elaborate (fasting), we are making a small sacrifice to heighten our experience of the Lenten season. Donations are requested and will be accepted (almsgiving) at the Soup Supper to benefit Catholic Charities and the work they do for the poor in our community.
We invite anyone who would like to bring soup, bread or bottled water to do so. Ash Wednesday is a Day of Fast and Abstinence, so all soups should be meat-free.
If you're not a soup chef, you are welcome to sign up to bring bread or rolls. As with any parish event, we can always use help with greeting, set up and clean up.
To sign up to help, please complete and submit the form below indicating how you would like to assist.
